First Official Concert

So last night I went to see the Evanescence concert and it was my first official concert and Amy Lee was AWESOME!!! First up was Black Maria... now not my type of band but the metal heads seemed to enjoy them... to me they were only noise... Then came StoneSour, now at first I thought they were only noise and crudity and then the sang a couple songs I knew... although I have to say that the lead singer was very rude and crude and I didn't like their language much... but the best part was the Evanescence part... Amy Lee opened with Sweet Sacrifice and ended with My Immortal... during Lithium there was even fake snow... boy was my voice hoarse... can't wait till the come back!

Sadness Falls

The other day I did my monthly google search for nathan gillis and came across this:

GILLIS, Nathan
Peacefully, but suddenly in his sleep, on Saturday, September 13th, 2003, Nathan GILLIS of London in his 20th year. Loving and cherished son of Stephen and Peggy (CRAWFORD) GILLIS. Caring brother and best friend of Cam at home. Beloved grandson of Ada CRAWFORD of Wallaceburg. Esther ANDREAS of Mount Forest and the late Kurt ANDREAS and Philip GILLIS of Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia. Dear nephew of Pat CRAWFORD and his wife Mary Jo of London. Carol HAGGERTY and her husband Earl of Wallaceburg, Christine CRAWFORD and her husband Bob of Brampton, Marie DICKSON and her husband Rob of Burlington, Sabine KIRSCHBACH of Berlin, Germany and great aunts, uncles and cousins. Sadly missed by his many great Friends in London and Lindsay. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North (2 blocks north of Oxford). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Thursday, September 18th, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Bruce Trail Association, P.O. Box 857, Hamilton, Ontario L8N 3N9 or to Epilepsy London and Area, 123 St. George Street, Suite L10, London, Ontario N6A 3A1 will be gratefully acknowledged. A memorial tree will be planted in memory of Nathan.

Yes it is my worst fear that my old childhood best friend has died... I do not know how and I had not seen or spoken to him in years but I mourn nonetheless... how I wish I could have seen him one last time...
